One of you invites the other to connect in River. Then choose a time for a shared commitment. Your partner can review the invitation and choose whether to accept.
How does app blocking work?
You can give River permission to use Apple’s Screen Time controls, then choose the apps you want to block. App blocking is optional and is set up separately on each person’s iPhone.
What is a shared commitment?
It’s a plan to spend phone-free time together. One person sends an invitation, and the other chooses whether to accept. Both people agree to take part.
What if I need to end a session early?
You can end a session early. River explains what will happen before you confirm, including what your partner will see for a shared session.
